Note:
The artist exhibited at the R.A. and was a member of A.A. he became a drawing master in 1808. He travelled to France in 1819 and in subsequent years visited the low countries. He worked in the tradition of Thomas Girtin until 1819 then changed his style to paint buildings and landscapes.
